All she wanted to do was sleep,

to close her eyes and mind

and to fall into the deep

abyss, a land known to keep

dreams locked away from evil-kind.

All she wanted to do was sleep.

Her days were fueled with creeping

thoughts, that her body, would bind

and to fall into the deep

pit of lightness and cream, causes her to leap

into the dreams of clouds, silk-lined.

All she wanted to do was sleep.

Pervading her nights were soft-sheep

crying--the echoes of their whines.

and to fall into the deep

hollow abyss of life, to keep

her sanity and perspective in mind.

All she wanted to do was sleep

and to fall into the deep.
